Every exchange student will be paired with a "Seoulmate" who will help us adapt to life in Korea. I had a Seoulmate for my team, as well as new friends from China and Canada.

Our Teammate

Met my new friends, Jordan, Katie, Qin Fei, Hani, Hyeyeon, and Britney on the welcoming party.

Yun Hyeyeon, my Seoulmate, was a easy-going and friendly person. I was so grateful to have her while in South Korea.

Our Seoulmate has also taught us Korean grammar, vocabulary, and basic conversational phrases. To be honest, it greatly aided my ability to adapt to my new surroundings. I've also attempted to communicate in Korean when ordering at a restaurant or café. She is always willing to help me when I am conversing with other Koreans.

Korean Language Study Group

In addition, I've enrolled in a beginner-level Korean language lesson. Jang Chaerin, my Korean language teacher, was a gentle and friendly individual who taught us Korean in an interactive way. Learning a new language was not simple, but it was an unforgettable session Korea.
